The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be holding their annual “Pens & Pins” Charity Bowling Tournament on Sunday, March 12 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Chacko’s Family Bowling Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins players and coaches will be chosen randomly to captain five-person teams of fans in the two-game format.  Tickets are $50 for individual bowlers or $200 for a team of five, and include bowling, shoe rental, pizza, soda and a commemorative 2017 “Pens & Pins” T-shirt. Tickets can purchased by calling the Penguins at (570) 208-PENS.

All proceeds from the afternoon of fun benefit the Penguins GOALS Foundation.

Once again this season, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are teaming up with Eye Care Specialists to bring a little warmth to the Wyoming Valley through the Coats for Kids and Families campaign.

Fans attending this Friday night’s game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers can drop off new or gently used winter coats (children’s and adult sizes), which will be donated to those in need through Luzerne County Head Start.  Collection boxes will be set up inside the East and West Gates of the arena.

Additionally, coats can be dropped off now through December 1 at any Eye Care Specialists’ location, or at the Toyota SportsPlex (40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre).
