WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have assigned forward Adam Krause to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).

Krause has appeared in one game with the Penguins this season, going scoreless on Oct. 22, 2016 vs. Syracuse. Last year, he played in 15 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and recorded four points (1G-3A). The 24-year-old scored his first career AHL goal on a shorthanded breakaway against the Hershey Bears on Mar. 20, 2016. He became the first Penguin in five years to score his first goal while the team was playing shorthanded.

Krause had 15 goals and nine assists for 24 points in 37 games with Wheeling last season, as well. His goal total was tied for third-most on the team.

The Penguins’ next home game is Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Toronto Marlies in a clash of the top two teams in the American Hockey League.
