Once again this season, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are teaming up with Eye Care Specialists to bring a little warmth to the Wyoming Valley through the Coats for Kids and Families campaign.

Fans attending this Friday night’s game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers can drop off new or gently used winter coats (children’s and adult sizes), which will be donated to those in need through Luzerne County Head Start.  Collection boxes will be set up inside the East and West Gates of the arena.

Additionally, coats can be dropped off now through December 1 at any Eye Care Specialists’ location, or at the Toyota SportsPlex (40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre).

If you would like more information on how you can help out, please call 800-322-4733.

Tickets for Friday night’s game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers are available at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, online at or by calling 800-745-3000.
