For the sixth straight season, the Penguins are teaming up with Rocky and Lissa from 98.5 KRZ to help shut out hunger in Northeast PA through the Thanks 4 Giving deal.

Rocky and Lissa, as well as their crew of listener volunteers, will be helping to prep Thanksgiving dinner at the St. Vincent De Paul soup kitchen next week.  The yearly effort helps provide free holiday meals to literally hundreds of less fortunate folks in Wilkes-Barre and throughout the area.

But the fight against hunger doesn’t end at the holidays.  The kitchen provides meals seven days a week all year long, and that requires food and funds in addition to volunteers.

And that’s where you can help out, while enjoying some Penguins hockey.

Purchase a Thanks 4 Giving package, which includes a ticket to our home game on Saturday, November 26 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and a Penguins hat, and we’ll donate $4 to the soup kitchen.

Packages start at just $17 and are available exclusively through the Penguins front offices at the Toyota SportsPlex, or by giving us a call at 570-208-7367.

For more info on how you can help out the hungry this holiday season and year round, give the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen a call at 570-829-7796.

Thanks for your help, and Let’s Go Pens!
