ARCHIBALD REASSIGNED TO WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Josh Archibald to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Archibald, 24, scored his first two goals for the Penguins on his first two NHL shots on Feb. 11 at Arizona. The tallies came in his second NHL game.

At the AHL level this year, Archibald has established career highs with 11 goals, 11 assists and 22 points in 48 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next game is tonight, Saturday, Feb. 18, when they take on the Springfield Thunderbirds. Puck drop between the Penguins and Devils is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next home game isn’t until Wednesday, Mar. 8, and its opponent will be the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
