The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Iowa Wild defenseman Nick Seeler has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of a match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent, assessed in a game at Texas on Mar. 11.

Seeler will miss Iowa’s games Friday (Mar. 17) at Milwaukee, Saturday (Mar. 18) vs. Milwaukee and Mar. 21 at Charlotte.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Patrick McGrath has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Providence on Mar. 11.

McGrath was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline) for leaving the players’ bench on a legal line change for the purpose of starting an altercation. He will miss Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s games Friday (Mar. 17) at Lehigh Valley, Saturday (Mar. 18) vs. Lehigh Valley and Mar. 21 vs. Hartford.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are home again this Saturday night when they face the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at 7:05pm.  It’s our annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, featuring a game-worn shamrock sweater auction.

Tickets for Saturday night’s game are available at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, online at TicketMaster.com, or by calling the Penguins directly at 570-208-7367.
