The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins may be away from home this weekend, but fans in northeast Pennsylvania will still be able to see their favorite team in action for FREE with a pair of special online broadcasts.

Friday night’s clash between the Penguins and Charlotte Checkers is the American Hockey League’s Game of the Week on Facebook Watch.  Any fan with an active Facebook account can click this link – bit.ly/FB_WBSvsCHA – to set a reminder for when the broadcast goes live. Puck drop from Charlotte is slated for 7:00pm.

The rematch between the Penguins and Checkers on Saturday night is part of AHLTV’s Freeview day.  Fans can stream any of the league’s 15 games on Saturday night by signing up for a free account at theahl.com/ahltv.  Puck drop between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Charlotte on Saturday is set for 6:00pm.

The Penguins return home for three games in four days the following week, with special pricing and promos on each date.

The Rochester Americans visit the Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, January 18 at 7:05pm. It’s another Eyewitness News Fan Friday, with lower bowl tickets available for just $14, select draft beers for just $2 (from 6-7:30pm) and free postgame autographs from a pair of Penguins players.  Plus we’re celebrating summer with our BEACH PARTY THEME!  Dress in your favorite Hawaiian shirt, hula skirt or surf gear for your chance to participate in games and win prizes.

The following night (Saturday, January 19) sees the Hershey Bears come to town on a Penguins FAN-Tastic Night.  Tickets for this game, which is expected to sell out, start at just $11 in the Blue Zone.

The Penguins will then play their first ever weekday afternoon game at home on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21 at 1:05pm. We’ve got a special school fundraiser offer, which sees $4 from each ticket you purchase going back to your child’s school.
