GUENTZEL, POULIOT RETURN TO WILKES-BARRE

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defensemanย Derrick Pouliotย and forwardย Jake Guentzelย to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Guentzel has played five games in his first NHL recall, scoring twice in his Pittsburghย debut on Nov. 21 against the New York Rangers and totaling four points (3G-1A) during his stint.

Pouliot was activated from injured reserve following a lower-body injury he suffered on Oct. 20 against San Jose. Last weekend, he played three games for Wilkes-Barre/Scrantonย during a conditioning assignment, going scoreless. ย 

The Pensย return home on Friday, December 9 when they play the Hershey Bears at 7:00pm. ย Itโ€™s anย Eyewitness News Fan Friday, with $14 lower bowl tickets, select draft beers for just $2 from 6-7:30pm, and a post-game autograph session with two Penguins players.
