Old Forge Pizzas

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins love the things that mnke our area special, including this culinary delight!

Wilkes-Barre, PA – There are many things that make northeast Pennsylvania a special place to call home.

A rich history dating back to our country’s founding.

An abundance of natural wonders.

Innovations and inventions that have helped to push our nation forward.

A hard-working people at the heart of it all.

And, of course, PIZZA!

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be highlighting the uniqueness of one of our region’s most notable boroughs and culinary delights, when the team becomes the Old Forge Pizzas for one night – Saturday, April 1 – when we host the Syracuse Crunch at 6:05pm.

The game may land on April Fool’s Day, but this is no joke!

The night is the first that the team has planned to highlight the activities, attributes and celebrations that make some of the towns around Wilkes-Barre and Scranton stand out on their own.

The team will be wearing special Old Forge Pizza jerseys during the game, which will be auctioned off via the DASH Auction app.

There will also be all kinds of fun merchandise available, featuring our cheesy, hockey-playing cut of red that we call ‘Pizza Boy.’  You can buy t-shirts, hats, magnets, stickers and more featuring the night’s mascot at the Igloo Store inside the arena during the game.

Tickets for the game between the Syracuse Crunch and the Old Forge Pizzas (April 1 at 6:05pm) are available now by calling the Penguins at 570-208-7367, or buy online through TicketMaster.com
