On-ice practice begins on September 28 at Ice Rink at Coal Street

 

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre Penguins today announced their 2012 training camp schedule. 

 

Camp opens on Thursday, Sept. 27 with players reporting for physicals and meetings.  The first on-ice practice will take place on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ice Rink at Coal Street and is open to the public.  Sunday’s practice on Sept. 29 will feature an intra-squad scrimmage beginning at 10:45 a.m.

 

The full training camp roster will be released later this week.

 

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will skate in two preseason games at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, facing the Rochester Americans on Oct. 5 and the Hershey Bears on Sat, Oct. 6. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m. 

 

Season tickets for the Penguins’ 14^th season in the American Hockey League are on sale now, and available by calling (570) 208-PENS.  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton takes the ice for its Home Opener on Sat, Oct. 20 versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m.
