PITTSBURGH ASSIGNS NINE TO WILKES-BARRE

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reduced their training camp roster to 49 players, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Nine players have been assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League: defensemen Barry Goers, Michael Webster and Ryan Segalla; and forwards Tom Kostopoulos, Milos Bubela, Gage Quinney, Jarrett Burton, Christian Hilbrich and Reid Gardiner.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins open training camp on Saturday at the Toyota Sportsplex in Wilkes-Barre.  The first on-ice session is slated for 10:30 am that morning, and all practices at the Toyota Sportsplex are free and open to the public.  Find a full training camp schedule here.
