The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be cerebrating with some princesses doing good for the community, as well as honoring a local hockey pioneer, when they return home this Sunday to face the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 3:05pm.
It’s PRINCESS DAY, featuring our friends from A Moment of Magic foundation. These princesses, who volunteer their time to raise the spirits of children in need, will be on the concourse for photos with our little fans throughout the game. Dress your little royal up and stop by to say hi, and bring a new coloring book for their charity drive. They also have a special ticket deal available, with $4 for each ticket purchased going back to their organization (ask for the Moment of Magic deal when you call the Penguins).
We’ll also be highlighting the contributions of Don Tweedy, who has mentored and taught generations of youth hockey players in Northeast PA during the afternoon. If you’ve played the sport as a youngster in NEPA, you’ve undoubtedly received Don’s training.
It’s also our final KIDS FREE SUNDAY of the regular season, with fans ages 14 and younger able to get into the game for FREE with a paid adult ticket. And stick around for another chance to hit the arena ice with a FREE postgame skating session (skates not provided, please bring your own).
Tickets for Sunday’s game are available now by calling the Penguins at 570-208-7367.
