Josh Archibald received his second career NHL recall on Friday afternoon.

So it was only fitting that Archibald scored his first AND his second NHL goals in his second NHL game.

Archibald opened the scoring for the Pittsburgh Penguins, then took advantage of a goaltender flub to score shorthanded, but the Pens fell to the Arizona Coyotes, 4-3, in overtime on Saturday night.

Full highlights from the game:

A fourth-year pro, Archibald was tied for the American Hockey League lead with three shorthanded goals when he was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton earlier this year. He has set new career highs in goals (11), assists (11) and points (22), and ranks second in the AHL with a plus-24 rating this season.

Archibald has 54 points (26+28) and 145 penalty minutes in 169 career games with the AHL Penguins.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next game is on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, Feb. 14, against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Puck drop between the top two teams in the AHL is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Individual game tickets for Tuesday’s game and all Penguins home games are available at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza box office, online at TicketMaster.com, or by calling 800-745-3000.

Penguins ticket packages, including 12-game and 10-voucher flex packs, are available directly through the Penguins offices by calling (570) 208-7367.
