The WBS Penguins aren’t the only local team you can support. While Canada’s national winter sport has gained many fans in the area, you can’t forget about America’s national pastime. Fortunately, for baseball fans, we have a minor league team right here in NEPA. The Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders still have plenty of games left in their season. There’s no better way to spend a sunny summer day than enjoying a baseball game with family and friends and PNC Field is the best place to do it.
Head to Montage Mountain
With many scorching summer days left, Montage Mountain is a popular destination for anyone looking to cool off and have fun. A waterpark is never very far away when you’re in NEPA, as we have the Montage Mountain Waterpark right in Scranton. There’s fun for all ages at this waterpark, with slides, pools, a lazy river, and more. If you need plans for the next hot summer day, this is the perfect place.
Visit a Winery
You don’t have to travel very far to try amazing wine and enjoy a day at a vineyard. There are many great vineyards in the area that are the perfect summer day trip. Sitting outside with a nice cold glass of wine, good food, and the company of friends and family is something many people look forward to over the summer months. Knoebels is home to several popular wooden roller coasters, as well as steel roller coasters, trains, carousels, and more. Whether you’re going for a day or camping overnight, this is one destination you can’t miss.
