A new session of fun is right around the corner at the Toyota SportsPlex. Check out all of the upcoming programs the facility has to offer for skaters of all ages and skill levels.
Youth Learn To Skate
The Youth Learn To Skate program is designed to teach beginning skaters of all ages. After completing Learn To Skate, kids can go on to private figure skating lessons, our Little Pens Learn To Play Hockey program, or just attend public skating sessions and skate for FUN!
The Winter Youth Learn to Skate session is held on Thursday and Friday Nights (see link below for schedule), starting January 4th and running through Friday, February 22nd.
Registration is $80 and rental skates can be added for an additional $20. All full session registrations include a ticket voucher for the WBS Penguins game on January 18th.
Walk-ins are available on a first-come, first serve basis for $13 per session (skate rental not included in walk-up fee).
*All children under the age of 7 MUST wear an approved hockey helmet or bicycle helmet.
The Youth Learn to Play Hockey program is designed to introduce fundamental hockey skills to beginner hockey players. All beginner hockey skill sets (skating, puck handling, passing, shooting, and game play) will be focused on to develop and improve players to better ready them for in-house or travel hockey.
Participation in Learn to Skate is strongly recommended prior to participating in Learn to Play, but not required.

*PLEASE NOTE: FULL HOCKEY EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED! (Equipment includes: Helmet with full cage/shield, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, hockey pants, shin guards, stick and skates)
Winter 2018 Atom/Mite In-House :BIRTH YEARS 2010 (8) AND YOUNGER begins January 4th and runs through March 24th. Practices will be Friday evenings 5:30PM-6:20PM (unless otherwise noted). All practices will be clinic style. Games will be Saturday mornings 7:00AM – 8:00AM (unless otherwise noted). Registration is $175 and includes team jersey and a ticket voucher for the WBS Penguins game on January 18th.
Winter 2018 Squirt In-House :BIRTH YEARS 2010 (8) TO 2008 (10) begins January 4th and runs through March 24th. Practices will be Friday evenings 5:30PM-6:20PM (unless otherwise noted). All practices will be clinic style. Placement evaluations will be Friday January 4th at 5:30PM and Saturday January 5th at 8:15AM, games will be Saturday and Sunday mornings (unless otherwise noted). Registration is $199 and includes team jersey, ref fees, playoffs, and a ticket voucher for the WBS Penguins game on January 18th.
Adult Learn to Play & Skills and Drills offers an opportunity for beginner to intermediate-level players to improve your skating while learning basic hockey skills, such as stick handling and shooting, all in a fun and friendly environment. This session starts Monday December 10th and runs through February 11th (no class 12/24 and 12/31). Registration is just $80 and all full session registrations include a ticket voucher for the WBS Penguins game on January 18th .
*Full hockey equipment is required. Equipment may be purchased at the Penguins Pro Shop inside the ice rink. Skate rental is available for $3.00 per class.
A per class walk-on price of $15 is also available for skaters wanting to try out the program first, or who can’t commit to a full session.
