WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Bill Zonnon to an amateur tryout agreement.

Zonnon was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of this past summer’s 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Pittsburgh took Zonnon 22nd overall, the second of their three first-round selections.

The 19-year-old generated 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points this season for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. His 32 helpers tied for third on the team despite appearing in just 35 of the Armada’s 64 regular-season games. Zonnon proceeded to lead Blainville-Boisbriand with 13 assists in the QMJHL Playoffs, and he ranked third on the club with 15 postseason points.

Last year, Zonnon led the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies with 55 assists and placed second on the team with 83 points. Zonnon, who hails from Montréal, Québec, also topped the Huskies with eight playoff goals and 16 playoff points in 2025.

In 230 career QMJHL games with Rouyn-Noranda and Blainville-Boisbriand, Zonnon has 226 points (76G-150A).

Zonnon joins the Penguins for their run in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will take on the Hershey Bears for Game 4 in their best-of-five, Atlantic Division Semifinals series tonight, Thursday, May 7. Puck drop between the Penguins and Bears is set for 7:00 p.m. at GIANT Center.

If necessary, Game 5 will be on the Penguins’ home ice on Saturday, May 9 at 6:05 p.m. at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.

Individual tickets and full playoff packages for the Penguins’ postseason run are on sale now. Fans who wish to reserve their seats for all of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s games in the Calder Cup Payoffs can call the Penguins’ front office at (570) 208-7367 or visit wbspenguins.com.

Penguins Playoff Packages, which are billed on a pay-as-we-play basis, include tickets to every confirmed home game during the postseason.
