PENGUINS vs RED WINGS TONIGHT
The Pittsburgh Penguins are in preseason action tonight when they face off with the Detroit Red Wings at 7:00pm, and we expect Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to be represented, both on the ice and in the stands.
On the ice, Carter Rowney and Jake Guentzel are both once again in the lineup, looking to crack the Penguins’ opening night roster.  Other players with NEPA connections suiting up for the NHL club tonight are goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury and Tristan Jarry; defensemen Olli Maatta, David Warsofsky, Brian Dumoulin, Derrick Pouliot and Kris Letang; and forwards Scott Wilson, Tom Kuhnhackl and Conor Sheary.
Several hundred Wilkes-Barre/Scranton season ticket holders will be on hand for the game as well. Â Tickets for the contest are one of the perks that season ticket members received this year.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins take the ice for their first preseason game when they host the Albany Devils at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:05 p.m. The Penguins will also battle the Hershey Bears in exhibition action at home on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:05 p.m. before wrapping up their preseason schedule at Giant Center against the Bears on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 5:00 p.m.
