Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (13-4-2-0) gets back on top with first shutout of the season

Wednesday, Nov. 23 – PENGUINS 0 at Hershey 4
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton couldn’t conjure the same comeback magic it found in its previous two trips to Giant Center and suffered its fourth regulation loss of the season. The Bears racked up the fewest shots on goal against the Penguins any opponent this season (18). Danny Kristo made his Wilkes-Barre/Scranton debut.
Friday, Nov. 25 – PENGUINS 2 at Bridgeport 3 (OT)
The Penguins bounced back from their Wednesday loss to earn a point at Webster Bank Arena. Jarrett Burton scored his first goal of the season, and Josh Archibald tied the game to send the contest to overtime with a tally at 16:36 of the third period.
Saturday, Nov. 26 – PENGUINS 1 vs. Bridgeport 0
Tristan Jarry stopped all 24 shots he faced for the Penguins’ first shutout on the season. After two periods of scoreless hockey, Jean-Sébastien Dea earned a power play goal at 4:30 of the third period. Dea’s sixth of the season stood as the game-winner.
The Week Ahead
Saturday, Dec. 3 – PENGUINS at St. John’s
The Penguins pack their bags and travel up to Newfoundland to take on the St. John’s IceCaps, who are 3-1-0-0 in their last four home games. Last year, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton swept the four-game season series and have won nine-straight regular season contests with St. John’s.
Sunday, Dec. 4 – PENGUINS at St. John’s
The Pens and IceCaps square off for the second-straight afternoon. Sunday will also be Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s last regular season game at St. John’s, as the IceCaps are slated to relocate to Laval, Québec in 2017-18.

– This is the third-consecutive season that Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton has reached the quarter mark of the season (19 games played) leading its division, and second-straight season that its finished the first quarter atop the Eastern Conference.
