The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Teddy Blueger to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Blueger, 23, spent the past week-plus with the Penguins, but did not see any game action during his first career NHL stint. At the AHL level this year with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he ranks fifth on the team with 26 points (12G-14A) and he owns a plus-10 in 45 games.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are back in action this Friday night when they welcome the Rockford Ice Hogs to NEPA for the first ever meeting between the clubs. ย Puck drop is set for 7:05pm.
