PITTSBURGH RETURNS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Teddy Blueger to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Blueger, 23, spent the past week-plus with the Penguins, but did not see any game action during his first career NHL stint. At the AHL level this year with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he ranks fifth on the team with 26 points (12G-14A) and he owns a plus-10 in 45 games.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are back in action this Friday night when they welcome the Rockford Ice Hogs to NEPA for the first ever meeting between the clubs.  Puck drop is set for 7:05pm.

Friday is also another Eyewitness News FAN FRIDAY, with lower bowl seats available for just $14 and select draft beers available for just $2 (6-7:30pm).
