A quick look at stats, notes and other items as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins head into Saturday night’s action in Hartford.

  • The Penguins hit the 100 point mark for the sixth time in team history, and the first time since 2010-11, following their win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday night.
  • The Penguins shut out the Phantoms for the third straight game.  The last time Wilkes-Barre/Scranton allowed a goal to the Phantoms was at the 15:38 mark of the second period on March 18.  The streak now stands at 215:18.
  • Entering Saturday’s action, the Penguins magic number to clinch the Atlantic Division title is three.  Any combination of three points gained by the Penguins or three points dropped by the Providence Bruins gives Wilkes-Barre/Scranton the titles.
  • Oskar Sundqvist hit the 20-goal mark with his second tally on Friday night.
  • Sundqvist stretched his point streak to three games (3+2).
  • Tristan Jarry’s shutout of the Phantoms was the eighth of his #WBSPens career, moving him into a tie with Jeff Zatkoff for fifth place on the team’s all-time list.
  • Jarry recorded his 28th win of the season on Friday, the fourth highest single-season mark in Penguins history.
  • Jarry also posted his 45th career win on Friday, moving him into a tie for fourth place on the team’s all-time list with Matt Murray.
  • Jarry now ranks fifth in the AHL with a 2.15 goals against average, just behind teammate Case DeSmith at 2.14.
  • Jarry is now third in the AHL with 28 wins, two off the league lead (Ontario’s Jack Campbell with 30)
