What Is The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins GOALS Foundation?
To support the game of hockey, we want to provide young people and families with the opportunity to experience the game firsthand. The Penguins GOALS Foundation dedicates time, resources, and financial support to organizations committed to bettering the lives of the people of Northeast Pennsylvania.
Tickets For Tots
The Penguin GOALS Foundation provides free tickets to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins home games to local non-profit organizations serving the needs of the less privileged children in Northeast Pennsylvania. The benefiting organizations then distribute tickets to many families who might not be able to attend a game on their own.

Community Grants
The Penguins GOALS Foundation will disperse grants to a limited number of local, non-profit organizations after each American Hockey League season. If your non-profit organization would like to be considered as a grant recipient, please make sure your application is submitted before the end of the season. You can find more information here.
GOALS Foundation 50-50
The Penguins GOALS Foundation 50-50 Raffle is held at every home game during the Penguins’ preseason, regular season, and playoffs. Tickets are sold at the team’s two kiosks on the concourse, as well as by sellers with mobile ticket devices.
Sales start at the time the gates open until the end of the second period, with the winning number being announced during the third period.
Jersey Raffles
The Penguins Jersey Raffle is held at every home game throughout the season. Fans can purchase tickets for the raffle, which features a different game-worn or game-issued sweater at the raffle table located behind section 108 before the end of the second intermission. Tickets are one for $5 or three for $10. One lucky winner is then selected randomly, and notified via an announcement and videoboard slide during the third period.
McCarthy Tire Toss
The McCarthy Tire Toss is held at 10 select home games each season. Fans can purchase foam tires on the concourse at those games, which are then tossed onto the ice during the second intermission. If a tire lands fully inside the bullseye of the target on the ice, the owner of that tire takes home a cash prize. If there is no grand prize winner, the tire that lands closest to the bullseye receives a gift certificate from McCarthy Tire.
Birthday Announcements
You can wish the Penguins fan in your life a happy birthday with a special greeting during an upcoming home game! For a $20 donation to the GOALS Foundation, the first and last name of your friend or family member can be displayed on the video board. Birthday greetings are shown at the beginning of the second intermission.
To get your special birthday wish on the board, please stop by the Penguins Fan Assistance Booth, located behind section 108 on the concourse, before the end of the first intermission at any home game.
Pens & Pins
The Pens & Pins bowling tournament allows Penguins fans to get up close with their favorite players while raising funds for the Penguins GOALS Foundation. Fans form teams of four bowlers, who are then paired with a Penguins celebrity for an afternoon of fun on the lanes.
Donation Requests and Charitable Giving
The Penguins GOALS Foundation is dedicated to serving the community through a variety of interactive charity and community service programs. The Foundation emphasizes education and compassion with programs that strive to improve the quality of life by educating youth and supporting the underprivileged.
